Re: 2 16" BFG Comp T/A Drag Radials on Pony wheels
Hell the ones I have run all of last season and will run again this season are worse than those. That is a good deal for a beginner set of drag tires.
The Xcal2 says I have only 5 changes remaining. Which I was told lessens each time I rewrite the computer.
The speed limiter is off and I have adjusted the rpm range for neutral limits and drive limits but my car doesn't accept them. I have accidentally had my car over 7200 with a drive...
I have it enabled but it will not select a rpm range now that I tuned it with it off. This is a known issue with this hand held. I can select them and program them in but all it does is waste a change, since the SCTs only have so many adjustments before you have to buy more to alter the car...
Find the shop who is going to be your tuner and get what they use. Most around here are SCT and I have their Xcal2 but I cannot program the limiter for a two step like I wanted and now it doesn't have one at all. So it does have its quirks but it is a decent hand held and OBDII code scanner.
Any leak in the exhaust has the potential to tick. You are more likely to hear it up by the headers is all. It could very well be at the collector. Just look for carbon deposits.
A good practice would be to drive 100 miles and then re-tighten all the bolts again.
With all due respect he ripped off a TON of people some of which are my friends. This continued on for years. Not just a small random hiccup. He changed screen names to continue to scam people out of money even after he was banned from a few major sites too. Modulardepot.com...
No offense but that is still a bit high. For this area(upstate) a decent deal is 200-300 for an installation. You paid about 250 for parts so 500 for labor is not that good of a deal. If you like it that is all that matters but if you have to do it again then you are better off searching for...
DO NOT DEAL WITH WHEELER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That guy is a fu**ing crook and shady as 50 Mexicans just going for a walk near the US border.
Just check Corral.net for info on that guy. I don't care if he is offering a cure for cancer.
I don't think some people realize that you have a 3.8L OHV not OHC. A cam(singular) for your car is not going to be over 250 dollars. Installation should be fairly easy and able to be accomplished by any competent shop.
Eh. It is a matter of preference. The 75mm allows room to grow while not losing out on too much power, you might on a stock car make 1-2hp more with a 70mm but once you start to get deep into the bolt-ons the 75mm because the ideal choice. A TB is going to give you a couple hp any way you...
While I tend to be a firm believer in you get what you pay for, the TBs from most companies are fairly decent. I would be looking at around 150 or so for a cheap one, unless you do the 70mm Aviator one.
Cheap, Fast, Reliable. Pick any two.
He had a tune from Diablo before now he is using SCT.
If you did not tell them you have aftermarket headers the delay could very well be your issue. Just ask for a mail order one. I believe they are 50 dollars from SCT directly.
You may have to move your O2 sensor closer to the block. You might have to put it in a primary. Any competent muffler shop should be able to do this. The O2 may not be getting hot enough while the car is running the system check when it first starts up.
Just an idea.
