Nothing "needs" back pressure it is more less about exhaust velocity and scavenging. Carbed motors are not any different than EFI with there needs for better exhaust though.

Hmm, IDK my friend had a ram air setup with that same hose on his Kenne Bell SC'ed 91 GT for years and the car ran a 11.75@119. There is no way that the hose is going to collapse, there is not a filter in front of it to cause a restriction. There are ALOT of guys on the Corral/Modular...

Depends on the catback. If you have a MAC, Flowmaster, Magnaflow (not magnapacks), or Dynomax you can get away with the catless x-pipe. All the rest sound TOO loud IMHO. I'll get a good clip of my '98 GT with the LM! and offroad X-pipe to prove my point, lol. If you like NASCAR sound it's great...

I have driven this car alot in almost stock form and how it is now and it is 100%!! Awesome car....I'd love to own it! You won't find a cleaner one for sure.

Normally the adaptive learning is ONLY in closed loop, WOT is open loop. Usually in the tune you change it so that none of the part throttle closed loop adaptive gets applied to WOT/open loop.

If you want LOUD get what I have on my 98 GT..offroad X-pipe with SLP LM1 catback lol. It's insanely race car loud though I'm getting a catted x ASAP. Price no object....Borla...Bassani...Maggies...

Usually with a CAI on the '05 up it leans it out some anyways. I'd log your car now and see what you fuel trims are. I'd add a little timing and leave the fuel alone personally but the canned tunes do that anyway.

I turned my friends rear 02's off with my Sniper SF and he passed with no problems. Unless it is different like said above with the S197. I have not messed with them.

There are tons of low mile 19lbers out there, I probably have a few sets if I look,lol. I'd at least replace the o-rings on the injectors thats usually the only thing that goes bad often on older cars. Lube them up with some vaseline or something when you stick them in so you don't tear them at...

What do they do for NYS inspections down there? All they do up here is hook it up the computer and thats it, if no CELs then all is good. Do you have to get actual smog tests?
