Glad you found the problem. I think it was caused by either very bad gasoline (no good with high compression motors) or timing too high for pump gas. Maybe the distributor was loose and timing changed?

Got caught in the rain storm driving the stang!! Had to drive around 5 flooded areas to get home from the city. The stang got a GOOD wash, LOL!!!!!

I have had good luck with the Spec 3+. I have used 3 of them and would recommend them

10.5:1 compression and bad old/bad gas is not a good combination. You might have blown a head gasket, but start with the simple stuff first, check your timing, pull your plugs and see how they look, also do a compression test and see what you get.

What are the engine specs, compression? Power adder?
