Today it was absolutely gorgeous outside (61 degrees) so I did some work on the 69. I used some sheet metal screws to temp install the l/s front inner fender panel & check the alignment of the fender bolt holes. Good to go, time to weld it all up.
Cut out the rotted spot in the l/s shock tower upper front flange & made a patch to repair it. I then cut out the rot in the rear section of the upper flange & made a patch for that area too.
Welded in both patches. All 4 spots are now repaired.
Finished drilling out the spot welds on the l/s front inner fender panel & removed it.
Ground down to bare metal the l/s shock tower front upper flange, & traced out a patch on a piece of sheet metal to repair the rot hole.
