Nothing wrong with the Performer RPM at all, later on you can get it ported out by tmoss and it will flow as good as anything else if not better. EDIT... just saw you were carbed. Performer RPM is ok, alot of guys like the Weiand Stealth better though.

XE 258 would be the better choice, I posted up on the Corral of some simulations I did with this and it was the only cam that beat the stock one out on the low end.

So you just have the tape deck? I have the complete set I'd sell with the tape/cd.

Get a custom ground cam from Jay at Camshaft Innovations or Ed at FTI. The exhaust setup can have alot to do with the sound as well. I really don't think it is worth tearing your motor apart just to have a more lopey cam. IMHO the E303 has all the lope I care to have on a street car.

BTW, if the stock HO 5.0 runs good you could just add a supercharger for some more get up and go while keeping the mileage and reliability of the stock motor.

From what I have read the V6 are the same as the 4.6, you will more than likely need a tune(programmer) to get the most out of the car.

I'm sure they flow more but maybe where the MAF goes it must be the same size diameter not requiring a tune? OR, the a/f is still safe with the intakes but you will gain more with a tune. An easy way to verify this is by checking your fuel trims to see if fuel is being added or not. EDIT...I...
