we had them in my buddys nova, didnt really notice too much of a difference and i know a countless number of st cars running them... but i also have heard some people complain about the vibrations, i guess it all comes down to your preference
whats the weight of the car? we had a bs 302 with small valve edelbrock performer heads and an e cam running bottom 12's at around 2900 lbs, on motor. im sure with a better cam it would have been in the 11's
if all your looking for is mid/high 11's why not just build up a 302? no sense in wasting money on a 347 when you can easily reach your goal with a 302..
a 408 involves alot more than boring out a stock 351..... unless you have some money to shell out for headers, oil pan, and a good top end it isnt really worth it
just because comp says its a good replacement doesnt mean that it will work with your motor...make sure you check your piston to valve clearance after you put in the cam.....
It might work with your motor, I beleieve the pistons in non ho 5.0's are not flycut but that cam isnt too big.... if you try it check your piston to valve clearance.. personally i would just buy a ho 302, theyre a dime a dozen
tfs stage 1 cam isnt too big, call afr with the part # for the heads and find the specs on the springs. with the right springs you can bring it to 6500 no problem.
