Todd that sucks about your oil pump. Did you ever hook a mechanical oil gauge up yet ? If you do have to go through the whole process of changing your oil pump you should think about cams while you have everything opened up that far. ModularHeadShop Bullet Cams has some nice offerings...

If yours is the same as my '96 then it's on the driver's side behind the power steering reservoir. Here's a pic of the front cover. The cam sensor is the only thing on the top driver side.
