    Coilovers are in!

200lb is fine, I wanted a little more rigidity. MM suggested , with the 375-440lb rear progressive, to go 350lb up front. When I run the numbers I came up with 250lb for balance purposes. Right now I still have H&R sport coils in the rear (@ 270lb) and my mustang handles great. I think once I...

    Coilovers are in!

The mustang is for the most part 50-50 weight front to rear, +/- a few pounds. So the spring rates should be approx. 50-50 front to rear. The wheel rate is the spring rate measured at the wheel. The front coil wheel rate is 25% of the spring rating. So a #600 coil spring has #150 wheel rate. A...

    Coilovers are in!

I went with the 12" spring. It would take it from at least stock ride height down to slammed. Plenty of travel to cushion potholes and crap. My research found 12" was the way to go and I think that is correct.

    Coilovers are in!

In my research I found the rear is best with a watts link or panhard/torque arm setup and regular coil springs. So I have Bilstein shocks with MM torque arm springs, FRPP upper control arms with MM replacement bushing and MM adjustable HD lower control arms. I have yet to install the panhard bar...

    Coilovers are in!

Installed a set of coilovers this week. What a difference in ride quality. I had H&R Sport springs with Tokico struts and I thought they looked/handled well. I set the ride height about the same with the coilovers. Going over bumps is so much better now and the feel of the steering wheel is like...

    New wheels, yay or nay.

It's up to you really. I am not a fan of either chrome or rivets. I have the Cobra R reps in alloy myself. Anything chrome looks the same to me. To really show off, but with taste, a rim like the AMR or FR500 (or similar)with the outside edge painted the color of the car is sweet, not over the...

    Headlights and fogs

How about 8K fogs and 6K headlights, just to make it unique. Silver and blue is classic. 8K won't be too much blue. My 2 cents anyway.

    Headlights and fogs

I think if your ride is blue then more of a bluish tint would be humongous! 8K would be most goodly.
