I cleaned up the trunk a bit. Added some interior trim pieces I had laying around. They aren't flammable. I held my heat gun on high, three inches away, for five minutes on a scrap piece I had trimmed off. It just sagged and melted, no scorching or burning. I have done a few long drives...

As you will see in the pictures I don't have any door moldings yet, I need to get my hands on some. Door panels are off too in order to tweek the window alignment. A few more things to tidy up. I'm not happy with how the felts for the t-tops fit, they are either to high or to low in places...

Modified a MM strut tower brace I had laying around. I had to rebend the drivers side bar, cut it, and weld in a bit to make it longer. It needed to go around the 90* silicone elbow. I got tired of waiting on the guy that was going to paint the car, so I am taking matters into my own hands...

Got something better to replace the aluminum dryer tubing. Also, picked out a color and talked to the guy that is going to paint it, just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit. I changed my mind and went with a metallic, What the color is, I'm not fessing up yet. :D Jess

Update. In the spirit of the upcoming holiday. IT'S ALIVE! After some software stumbles I got the Megasquirt up and running. Just after a little bit of fiddling with it and some time with the "Auto-tune" function, it is running as good or better than it was with the Quarterhorse/A9l combo...

Actually, the car did not come with the t-tops. I put them in. The car started life as just a regular '79 coupe with a 2.8 v6. Jess

Started installing a Megasquirt ECU. This should be interesting. It is nice however removing a bunch now unneeded stuff, mass air meter, one O2, VSS, Baro sensor, ect. Cleaning up the engine compartment. Jess

Thanks all. I have not got as much done lately as I would have liked. Had a family vacation to take, and my other mustang, the one in my avitar, needed some attention. Summer is flying by. I did get the car out last night for a boost check, made 9.6#s, I'm pretty happy with that number...

I think I will keep the paint simple, no metallics, candys, or pearls. Flat black trim, headlight buckets, grill, quarter louvers, wing end caps, and moldings. I still have a lot to do. Up next is the firewall, and water meth install. Jess

New rims and tops out. I am picking up some 16 gauge steel tomorrow to go behind the rear seat for heat and safety reasons. Then the rear seat and passenger seat will go in. Paint will be the next BIG thing to do. Jess
