Rear End Noise

After 10min of driving, when turning the rear end squeals/howls? Seems that tighter the turn, worse it sounds (louder). Like I said when I leave in the morning there's no noise till I pull into work 10min away and same with going home. No noise till basically things warm up. Tried to snag a video of it.

Did you do a fluid change recently? I can't play the video but from the way you describe it, it sounds like there was not enough friction-modifier added to the gear lube.

Click the title on first video. That worked for me. As for fluid, I've never done any service with it. I do have royal purple and carbon discs incase that's it.

The vid sounds like a ghost or woodbooger! How many miles on the car? Maybe a wheel Bearing going bad too.

Did this just start happening after your car got banged up a bit?

99k on car. I may just swap the clutch pack and fluid since I have all the parts for it.
As for friction additive, I have royal purple fluid therefore I don't need it I was told.

And no this has been happening for a month or so, nothing to do with curb incident.

Not sure if you put gears in the rear. But if you did. Them maybe they were not shimed right. I would change fluid and add a friction lube to it no matter. If you put Royal Purple. It's worth the extra couple of bucks. To throw it in there. And see if it will work for you.

Changed fluid, it still does it however nowhere near as loud/aggressive as before. So I'm buying a rear end rebuild kit and a new diff. That'll fix it!

I run RP in all my cars/trucks. Never any issues.

I had a similar problem with my F-150 and the shop found that the brake pad sheared off and was stuck between the pad backing and the disk.

Ya I was told that also. However it truly is in rear end. New fluid and now it's quieter after doing it. So I've ordered a complete rebuild kit

I'd check the trunk. Sounds like you got somebody tied up in there.

worn out friction plates will howl when you turn. did you replace them yet?
