.... The Franken-Cougar is indeed a 69, most of the exterior and the interior is '69. The hood, front fender extensions, grills and bumper are 70. (hopefully soon the glass will be 70 bolt in glass) ... the engine is from a '74 and the t-5 is from a mid 80's fox body. when I purchased the car it was a bone stock 69 Standard coupe with a 351 Windsor and an FMX. I've been busy

I looked at a few Cougars before I bought my first Mustang & my older brother had an early Cougar so I know some about the different years from 67 - 70. I purchased all the glass from a 70 Mustang to swap into my 69 Coupe to get rid of the 69 glue in glass.
That stuff is a PITA ... I just talked to the body shop guy ... and I forgot to ask about the 70 windows DAMMIT ... soooo ...
just talked to Ken on Lunch break and the body work its progressing. She is stripped nekkit. He did find a little bit of rot he wasn't counting on. He has saved both of my front fenders and the front valance, has the rear window issues welded up, has the passenger door straightened out better. He plans to have the metal work done this week and says he expects to be finished in about 2 weeks. He also told me he will take care of getting the engine back up and running for me if I wanted (will cost extra but I'm sure he will be gentle) ... all in all I feel great about how it is going and where we will end up on it!! As for Pictures, he told me he has been lax about them but he will get some for me!!

well this thread went down the wrong road quick ... and Alex's GF threw him under the bus ... Bad Jen-E ... BAD !!! LOL ... as for pictures I havent gotten any yet ... and the shop is 2 or 3 hours away ... so I have to rely on Ken ... He said he would get some pics for me though ... even if he doesnt I know him real well and I trust him!!
ooops ... sorry Tim, latest news ... Ken keeps finding little spots that need attention. Last I talked to him he does have most of the metal work done and he feels confident that he can start on paint... possibly during this week. HOWEVER ... due to the fact that the Holidays are upon us we both agreed that a delivery date of after the holidays was best. This way things don't get rushed just to get the car out of the shop and noone's holiday schedule has to get stomped on. I'll update as soon as I know more.
