OK new news for Franki
Pictures
and the story but I'll paste here too ... I feel like such a rookie :nono:
so ... I found out ... the hard way ... that when you put in a new cam you should research your cam's lift and the tolerences of the stock stuff. Turns out that a stock cleveland's cam has lift of .400 on both the intake ands exhaust valves. The stock springs bind (or become solid) at .480(ish). My Lunati Voodoo cam has lift of .524 on the intake and .540 on the exhaust. OK so that explains the stuff that had been happening in my valve train. New springs were ordered from Alex's Parts on Ebay on THURSDAY (616.2011) and were delivered today (Monday 6/20/2011) LET THE FUN BEGIN!!
Good news is so far it doesnt look like there is anything major wrong, save for a collapsed lifter.
