I truly appreciate that and I apologize for the complaining, lol. I just figured I would have done better being there aren't that many 300hp n/a 4.3L V6's around. Just like most of you guys I put my heart and soul into that car (and bank account, lol) and from being a 24yr old in 1999 who was scared to even put a k&n air filter on the car...... I don't think I did that bad

I can undersatnd why some people complain, car shows are not judged properly anymore, years ago, you had to have a near perfectly clean car, in every aspect, to win, and sometimes that was not good enough, but at least your hard work was appreciated. Nowadays, you have people's choice where the people attending the show vote for the car they like, so if the don't like the color blue, or black and so on, you do not get a vote even if your car is cleaner! And if it is a judged show, the judges they pick to judge have no clue what they are looking at or for on the car. I love bringing my car to shows for people to enjoy, buy it is getting to the point where it is not becoming fun anymore, to put the amount of time into getting my Cobra ready for a Car Show that I do and sometimes not even get recognized, is frustrating!
all cars there were judged by 6 silent judges.. in the end of the day Myself Mike and one of the dealer judger's went around and looked at the final list of cars the judges suggested. Then they went inside and made there choices.. all they see is the cars that have the most immaculate, chromed out custom or 100% original show room condition.. oxidation and pitted engine components will not win the show. There was a blue 6 cyl that the judges liked alot but in the end they did not pick it for the win. I personally thought it had what it took to win a plaque. So if the judging was not up to anyones liking we apologize. I only wish we had more trophies to hand out, but there was a small amount of trophies that I payed for without a sponsor and that was all I was able to afford. Maybe you guy$ can $upport our $hows and become $ponsor$ and help out with the fund$..lol 
also next years show is going to be alot bigger with many more classes.
Modified, stock and other s like 6cyl class and break up the fox and classic class as well. We will get ideas from everyone as time goes on so PM me if you have any sugestions. Also Mike and myself are going to put a panel of judges together that will judge on the points system.. we will follow the same points system as most car shows do.. so go get your fire extinguishers and safety kits ready..lol
One other thing this is why I do not judge. I just go for the walk in the end because I have a hard time picking out winners when 80% of the Field is looking as good as they did yesterday and I am friends with most of the people at the show so I would not be neutral in the judging..
hope this satisfies anyone's trophy issue because thats how it went down.
There is nothing to be upset about the cars that won were amazing and deserved to win.

I here you AJ I have had the best of both worlds in my day super nice and fugly stangs.... I like just being around the cars and the people that come with it.. I agree most shows are not judged properly and Thats why next time I am going to have sponsors on the trophies so we can at least have enough classes to get it right...lol I hope..
On the flip side I saw people having alot of fun and I met at the least 25 new people that I am sure will be posting up as newb's so for me its all 100% worth it and if someone dose not come next year because of a trophy well thats just silly.

You are 100% right, wildponies.......it's not about the trophy. My personal favorite cruise is one in Wycoff, NJ that happens every Wed night for years. No sponsors, no music, no 50/50........it attracts 150 cars and skillions of spectators!! It's just a bunch of people that LOVE cars that get together every Wed night for over 10 years. It's one of the best.......the Syosset Show was great. I met old friends and made new ones. That's what it's all about.

several people complimented my car, especially the original paint that is now 9 years old on a car that was a daily driver until I bought it last july as my fun weekend car!
"The car looks brand new" I get a lot from people. It took me 6 months to decide on the wheels I bought. The interior is also new looking. But nobody is ever going to be in love with my car like me. And that's ok : ) The jewels on the rear quarter panels give it a unique look. And the pink mustang sticker on the back. In any event, no man would like my car, so i can pretty much expect never to win anything but maybe girliest car~ and they don't make that award. And like I said- that's ok! Everyone who went deserved to win and I believe everyone who showed up was a winner and every car was gorgeous in it's own way!

I'm new to the site but have been to numerous car shows and have to tell you that I thought the judging was on the money! I feel the frustration when you bring your car to a show and put the time in and some Rat Box wins because all his friends are there voting for him! I didn't know anyone there and I won 2nd place and thought that was awesome! All in all I was there not only to show my car but to meet people who have a passion for these cars no matter what year.
