What I was refering too by crushing the gasket was when I used arp's torque spec. I few weeks later I had a coolant leak, I pulled the heads and the gasket looked like it was chewed by a dog. After your head install, be sure to check where your rockers contact your valves. If they favor one side of the stem more than the other, you might have to change your pushrod length. The cylinder heads you have might make mention of that.
