Fuel Pumping Disaster

My 99' GT is giving me a hard time when Pumping fuel, I was basically on a empty tank so when I started pumping not even 1 second on holding the gas pump it will auto click and stop. Even the people at the gas station decided to let me stand there myself to pump gas myself. I have to lightly hold the trigger to let gas pour. What do i gotta replace? Thanks

NOT SHOVE THE GAS PUMP NOZZLE ALL THE WAY IN lol

If your tank is empty and the auto cut off on the nozzle pops means air is not being allowed to escape fill the tank with the nozzle pulled back and it will be all okay.

just tried a differnt gas station today, same problem =/ and my SES light came on. could it possibly be the fuel filter?

Are you able to go to an AutoZone or somewhere to scan the computer so we can see what code it's throwing?

You read my mind. I'm gettin my rotor and brake pads changed now and then I'll go to autozone to see what's up. Even tho ive been here for a couple of days I've learnt a lot reading around. I love this place.

Sounds weird, but try holding the gas handle upside down, so if you're filling it regularly, just rotate it 180 degrees

Yeah got the code it was p0411 tHe guy told me to try out the this yellow Fluid thingy to unclog the pipe or something. But I gotta use it only torqards a empty tank and and then fill it up with gas.

He told me to try the fuel system cleaner

5:30 am I used the fuel system cleaner Fluid and put in a full tank of gas... Boy was I tired and scared that gas might overflow. Now I'll just wait and see how it goes, otherwise I'll try to replace the fuel filter/injector thingy.

From what I have read '99 & up Mustangs have a filler neck anti-siphon valve in the neck (you cant get gas out of filler tube....also must help in a rollover situation)

Maybe yours is faulty or someone did you dirty & stuffed something down there?

damn =/ this sucks.. im gonna try to replace the fuel filter first then.. maybe i should stick a coat hanger down the tank and try to dig around..

I was thinkin the same thing,somesort of blockage or kinked fill hose
