Blower. Case closed.

Get all the bolt ons like everyone here is suggesting. If you were drag racing, you having a good tire, auto, blower, and gears would give you a great advantage. Still, even though you won't be racing it, blower is the best way to go. Your motor, and auto tranny will hold up high 300s-low 400rwhp, with no problems. I'm sure you might have to do some minor tranny work, but I doubt it will be anything severe.

You can get a kenne Bell it just is gonna run you big bucks! Check out there site they have a 2.1L twin screw kit for are cars! NASTY KIT!:headbang:

TBapp, you can put a Kenne Bell on an Auto?? I thought the transmission couldn't hold up? I mean, I do plan on reinforcing whatever I need to, and building everything up to be able to hold power. Like I said this car is my everyday, so I can't blow it up. But oh man! A KB!! That's my dream<33 haha!

IMO, go with a nice blower right off the bat. If you do that, the other steps people take between(CAI, udp) become usemess and wasted money. a procharger or vortech will give a 100+hp increase. they whistle more then whine, but still sound great. your tranny will hold up fine, as long as its not daily abuse to it. Ive seen many peoples hold up fine to FI even with a few track trips per year.

if you install the steeda, u will have a 1 piece crank pulley. if you install the bbk's u'll have a piggyback pulley system. the difference is that the steedas have the dampers built in their pulleys whereas the bbk's use the stock dampers (hence the name piggyback)

but id stay clear of piggyback systems. ive heard soooo many horror stories.

and fyi, uf ur planning to get a s/c, do not get udp. you dont want to underdrive a belt driven power adder

Yeah, you know, the more I think about it the more I want that supercharger... It's expensive so I was looking to do all the little things to gradually add horsepower one step at a time. But I'm sure I could figure out a way.

Since you're all so helpful and knowledgeable, maybe you can help me with this also - What little things can I do now, that will be okay to have when I put the supercharger on? Like, Booby (if you had a real name I wouldn't laugh as much!) said that UDP's aren't recommended with a supercharger. What is? What kind of gears do I put in this thing, also?

I'm sure some of you have been to Mustang Magic. Would you suggest going to them and having them figure out what needs to be done to the tranny to hold up with an S/C, preferably the Kenne Bell? Or can you fine gentlemen help me here :]

lol I guess you like the boobies then. It's got 65,500 on it. Bought it with 60 fresh. I don't do too much crazy driving, mostly to and from work every day. Jersey a few times, Brooklyn once in a while, and a three hour trip to and from Connecticut next month! Haha, but I would loooove power. I hang out with all guys. They love the fact that I'm a girl with an 8-cylinder Muscle Car, but I wanna be able to run with the big boys ;]

i'd say start off getting 4.10s with new bearings and a tune. you will deff notice the difference right away

(na, has nothing to do with breasts lol)

Yeah I've been hearing 4.10's everywhere, so I'll look into those. I have a Predator tune right now actually, so I can tune it again after that. I'm gonna look into some Bassani headers to complete my exhaust, and what brand bearings do you recommend? I want good stuff, this car is gonna last me til it dies :] Or until someone buys me a Cobra haha

but yeah, go with the motives, they sell em at american muscle. (dont forget to use the NYM discount code!) i say drop the headers, 2v's dont respond well to them, not worth it at all. put that money somewhere else

if u wanna start small first id go with a set of 373 gears, set of Long Tube headers( i like MAC), do a 75mm TB and upper plenum, a CAI, Aluminum Driveshaft, and a whole new upper intake, they are a lil pricey but are nice( replace that plastic junk one lol) and then get it tuned at the dyno and u should be good for awile

i rly think 4.10s are the best route for an auto. since ur planning on adding a s/c down the line get the 75mm TB/plenum combo.

i say put off the headers when u do the cams. thats when u really feel the difference.

forget the cai since ur gonna do s/c

hey gtstatus, i also have an auto gt with 112k miles i have long tubes o/r mid and borla cat bak, im putting a new rear end in in may with 31 spline/axels and 3.73 gears, with a supercharge i was thinking that 4.10's would be too much, and by dec i should have the kenne bell, if you plan on doing the kenne bell forget the cai tb and udp. the kb cai is especially designed because it shifts the tb over 4in to the pass side so the cai u have won't fit. udp with a supercharger will cost you boost, which is a no good. and the tb you can get from kenne bell in a combo pack so you'll save a few bukks there.

just letting you know some options and maybe some suspension upgrades cuz when you floor it you dont wanna be all over the place and the auto tranny on the new edge mustangs are a 4R70w they are beasts of an auto tranny and will hold up with any supercharge with some minor mods http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=7491 here is a lil article for you to read on the tranny if you want
