Haven't been on this site in awhile, and my brother's 302->351 swap got me started thinking...
Where do I want to go with my new toy... an 86 Mustang GT
This is the cleanest car I've owned so far... and the Most well documented... Having every reciept, including EVERYTHING from the dealer, the first owner traded in an 84 mustang for it! I am the third owner. Mileage is going to be my secret though, until mike spoils it lol..
3.73 gears
31 spline auburn diff
aluminum driveshaft
Heavyduty Rear sway bar, and upper and lower control arms
BBK springs
Koni shocks all the way around (currently on wait for my new front struts...)
Fittipaldi Rims
Engine rebuild about 20k ago...
Performer intake
but stock heads (ported)
and mild replacement cam..
MAF conversion
and I'm sure other things I can't think of...
Previous owners took great care of it sparing no expense.
Now I have to figure out where to go from here...
Understanding there were about 40k GT's made in 86, I understand this will not necessarily be a collectable, I'm not sure how stock I want to stay... Ideas range from 427SOHC to just a 347 , maybe be leaving it the 302 if I feel not to molest it... But that won't be for a few years....
I'm loving it so far, but needs a few small things.
^^^Don't mind my other brother being special in the background^^^
If someone has an idea on value of these rims I am definetly curious... Practically mint.
