Well I am still here I just moved out of NY state to the Jersey shore. No pics yet as I am waiting on the quarter panel skin to arrive so I can test fit it. I got it 20% off the regular price, thanks Bruce for the heads up on the sale.

Well I just got an e mail from CJ Pony Parts, the quarter panel shipped out today.

Well today I pulled the quarter skin out of the box & did a 1st test fit, & the fit looks quite good. Noe I just have to trim it & re-fit it again.

Being it was a gorgeous weekend for the first week of Jan. I decided to roll the Coupe out of the garage & test fit the new quarter panel skin.

Todays progress report, I removed the r/s door & ground all the edges of the door where the skin meets the door shell & removed the door outer skin. Now I have to sand blast the inner structure & rustproof it & get a new door skin & install it. Pics to come in a couple days.

Bruce here is the pic of the r/s door shell after removing the door skin. I have to sand blast the inside of the shell & then prime it. One os the guys at another site I go to for 69/70 Mustangs is selling 2 door skins. I am going to see if he will sell me just one.

Makes you wonder how rust gets in spots, the door is in great shape considering it 40 plus years old.

OK the lead I thought I had on a door skin fell through, he will not ship them, so that will not work for me, I will have to order one from CJ Pony parts.

Today the weather cleared up & the temp hit 50 degrees so I pulled the door out of the garage & I used 2 paint & rust stripper wheels made by 3-M to remove the rust from the inside of the door shell. Now I just need to prime the inside surface & get a new door skin for it.

I'm jealous 50 degree weather and can go out and work on car. All I'm seeing is a snow flakes in the air everyday and ton of salt on the road.
