Those shifters suck. I had one in my car when I bought it and it was more of a pain in the ass than anything else and Id rather have the stock shifter. You still cant hit second gear with that shifter without shifting 1-d-1 because of the way the valvebody is set up. I ended up having a 5...

It was cheaper for me to go with a new shortblock with good internals than it was to have a new motor built. I spent around $2800 on my 347 and I ended up getting different heads and a different cam.

Its all about who you know. I dont have cats, smog pump, egr, etc and it still passes inspections, even though the inspection ran out last October it would still pass if I actually took the car out of storage this year.

my '92 had 2.73's. I had 4.10's put in when it had an aod and they really woke the car up, atleast the feel from the driver's seat. Now with the t5 theyre a little too much and Im kinda wishing I had put in 3.73's.

yeah, I had the bearings replaced both times I had gears put in my car

Mine did that when I bought it and it was a dirty evp sensor (part of the egr). I cleaned it and the light has stayed off ever since. Ive since deleted the whole egr system.

My car has a habit of breaking shocks so that might be something worth checking

yes it was. One of my friends put the motor in the car and put it together. The shortblock was built by M&R Engines or something like that.

I took mine off a long time ago and theres no negative effect to it missing

Its just not worth $600 or whatever a tune costs to me. It seems to run better on the street and pulls harder on the street. Still slow as shit on the track though.

My car still has the stock computer and its currently got a different motor (347) with h/c/i/exhaust, a different throttle body, cai, different transmission (had an auto, now a t5) and a bunch of other stuff done and it runs fine. Ive never had the computer tuned and dont plan on getting it done.
