Ya the 1-D-1 shuffle is bad for the tranny. I tested it at the track on 2 of my AOD cars and it didn't make it quicker either. My 89 AOD was a little sloppy but the one in my 93 GT shifter firm but had low miles on it when I bought it.

LOL, no batch fire on the 5.0 HO although the trucks do have it in the non-HO 302.

The camshaft has more to due with street-ability than the engine size. Technically you can run a larger cam with a bigger engine anyways. I have seen 408 cars at the track that were driven there and clicked off 10 second NA passes!
