This has the same gauge cluster as the BOSS 302 with the 180 speedo and 9000 rpm tach. The BOSS 302 also requires premium fuel. So it could be a BOSS 302 test car.

Unless it needs to be machined, don't bother. Like stated above a 331/347 will gain you some power. I posted up a dyno of my old 331 before/after vs. the 302 for a comparison of the gains. Everything the same, just going from a stock 302 bottom end to a 331. You need to figure out your budget...

Exactly, the right cam in this motor would have brought it up even higher seeing as they gained 22hp from just more lift via the 1.7 rockers. I have alot more "budget" type builds from magazines and other forums I will post up when I get time. Maybe I should just make a thread with all of them...

Alot of engine builders don't have chassis dynos and or are not installing the engine for the owner so that can't be done. I know that's how my father's friend got his 347. Dynoed on engine dyno (422hp IIRC) and was tuned, then he installed it in his 67 Mustang and had it dynoed on the chassis...

The SCS kit uses a Paxton NOVI 2200 which is a good size SC, just can't push it far on a stock bottom end LSx motor due to the compression. Should have went good, did he get it tuned?

Those cars have a sick tq curve, the BMW inline 6 is the only motor I have had I liked remotely close to a V8. Any pics of the other cars??? #'s??? Whats the hold up!!! LOL

I do think think these #'s are a little higher than normal and should be more like 350-360 based on others I have seen. But more less this is to show that the real restriction is the HEADS not the cam.

They are the EXACT same head, they just have 1/2" holes rather than 7/16" holes. There would be zero performance gain. If all you want is some stock heads I have half a dozen sets of E7 heads laying around lol.
