8 rib works fine, the 6 rib unless super tight will have slip.

5lbs with a powerpipe is not normal though, I think your going to have like 14+ lbs with a 2.95 8 rib and probably break something like the block.

Cool man, I have not seen one of those in awhile. When you do the ECU swap might want to check over at eectuning.org alot of guys on there play around with the 2.3 turbo cars and custom tune them.
