Sean you are an old fart!!! very easy, do you center console lights;the little luminescent that glow a pretty green or in my case blue, (hvac,hazard,radio) come on when you are running? They should only be on with the headlights.

OK. For all the other "seniors". The lights are not supposed to be on. I went back through my setup and found that one of the gauges are crap and was backfeeding the illumination circuit. They are to be off when the lights are not on.. Thanks Matt for the effort.

^^^^What he said^^^^ I have mine hooked up to a spdt switch and use my cruise control off button to activate. I just flip the switch over and cruise works as normal. I also installed an LED to the solenoid itself, this way I know that it is working. good luck, not hard to do.

Sounds like it was fixed by FM. (friggen magic) :D Maybe it was a loose connection that fixed itself. Good call in just leaving it alone, no reason to fart with it.

Sounds to me like the clock itself is crapped out. it going on when the headlights are turned on tells me that it is working, but the illumination on ignition is screwed up, but the dimmer circuit is working fine. Good luck.
