No it is not worth the fab. work, the axles on a mustang are 2" longer(27.620 Explorer vs. 29.937 mustang), and the perch mounts are different. Also the explorer does not have quad shocks so you will need to weld the brackets on, not a good swap everything is pretty much different you can use...

what's the fuel pressure?? bad fpr maybe??

how are you adjusting them? this is hyd. roller correct?

x2, don't think its the u-joints if it does it when your in neutral, and not moving

when you say rough is it a misfire or when you are on the gas it stumbles?? is this at idle?? etc. MAF came on board in 88 in california, 89 in all 50 states, does it have msd box, different distributor? these would all help with where to start

yeah the one I had dropped off to me was the same set up, and that ran and drove, but still would break up and, had a hard time idling so I guess you never know :confused:

people do crazy things when they build these cars, try both firing orders (H.O & non H.O) just to make sure, I had a friend bring me a car and it was a fuel injected 87 but the motor come to find out was out of an 83 with the 83 cam in it :smash: so just to be safe

I see, not trying to hijack the thread but what about most after market heads that either don't have or when you block off the cross tube on the back off the heads pretty much stops the process right? :confused:

touche, i am not that knowledgeable in that department but I think the egr shuts off at idle and WOT and coolant temps rise at these points, so at WOT(racing) you have 200+ degree coolant encasing your cooler intake air no? again i am learning also not trying to be a dick

the belt needs to come from the smog pump eliminator pulley then go up over the water pump, then down to the left side of the crank pulley, the problem is there is no power steering pump so the water pump is spinning the wrong way, not sure but i think there is an eliminator kit for the power...
