tapping from upper end of 5.0

Possibly a valve hitting a piston. Thats what the source of the noise my car had was. We thought it was a bent pushrod until pulling the heads off.

Usually I sprayed it right before and during the cutting process.

Any ever take their windshield out?

Its a bitch. Ive successfully removed a few with some piano wire and two pairs of vise grips using a sawing motion after spraying WD40 on the sealant. Works sometimes but other times the windshield still cracks.

    more power!

You'd need to change the injectors and MAF with a supercharger. Im sure you can find a good one for around $2500, maybe less. Theres usually some cheaper ones on ebay.

    more power!

save your money for a while and then get a supercharger. Thats what I wish I did with mine. I was buying little things here and there and kept buying more and ended up doing a head and cam swap (bought car with an Edelbrock intake on it) and still wasnt satisfied. Eventually I replaced the...

    2.3 vs 5.0 Radiator

I know theres no difference between the radiator for a 5.0 stick and auto. Ive got an auto radiator in my car and just plugged the cooler lines with bolts. Id check part numbers on Advance Auto's site to see if a 2.3 and 5.0 use the same one.

putting car away... storing the wheel..

If its in a garage I wouldnt bother doing anything to the wheels. I had a few truck with aftermarket chrome wheels that I took off for the winter and I just put them in my garage or basement and didnt do anything to them.

electrical issue- no start without jumping the solenoid

Do you mean the switch with the key or the other ignition switch thing? I know I replaced a few ignition switch things at one point on the car when I was having trouble with the starter but it ended up just being a bad starter at the time. I saved the original parts that I replaced then so I...

electrical issue- no start without jumping the solenoid

'92 5.0 with t5 The damn car wont start without jumping the starter solenoid terminals with a screwdriver. Ive had some issues with it not starting a few times this year but usually after pulling some wires or hitting something under the dash with my foot it starts. Not now. Theres no power...

    5.4L Triton swap?

Considering the endless list of possible modifications you can make to a small block 302 or 351 vs nearly nothing available for the 5.4 2v its not worth it. Its a truck only motor and theres not much aftermarket for it other than cold air intakes and a few bolt ons.

    heads!!!

The only 351 heads that are worth swapping to were made in the late '60's-early '70's although I forgot the years.
