Your going to have to run a 12 ga wire from the right post on the solenoid on the fender to the spade connection on the starter and your heavy gauge cable will go from the left post on the solenoid (same post that battery power comes into the solenoid on) to the post nearest the engine block on...

I would junk the efi and do the carb setup but don't use a vacuum advance distributor. Stay away from Barry Grant stuff. Straight holley all they way man. Go with the performer rpm manifold if the car sees mostly street use. Trust me you won't be dissapointed.

BG 280 fuel pump has seen little use and works well, Has a leak and needs to be fixed (bad O-ring) . These pumps go for 300 new. asking $100 and will throw in 2 #10 oring fittings and an inline filter.

Could be many things man, check your timing, pull your plugs see if the motor is running too rich or too lean, check for vaccum leaks.It could be a number of carb related issues. A problem like your having can't be solved by somone telling you what it is on here. You gotta cover all your bases.

Check your local part suppliers for POR 15 products. they make an engine specific paint and its real easy to use. I did my engine block and a few other parts . Great product brushes on real nice.

I almost regret getting the 15x8's now !! My friends car with the 15x10's with a 28x10.5 tire looks bad ass. You get less of the sidewall buldge in the slick with the wider rim.

do these guys cars had 15x10 rims with the 6.5 back space? If they had a wider rim with that backspace it would do that. I'm not an expert on this I'm just going from experience. I have the 15x8's with 5.5 on mine and my friend has 15x10's with 6.5. It makes sense to add the exta backspace b/c...

back space is the measured from the back of rim where it bolts on, to the inside lip of the rim. so the more back space you have the more rim you have under the car.

I have 15x8's with 5.5 backspacing with a 275/60 drag radial which is almost the same size as a 28x10.5 slick. I had to hammer the inner wheelhouse a bit. If you want to use a 28x10 rim you need to get 6.5 backspace.
