To get those numbers, you'll need the 2.1L (standard) or the biger (flowzilla) setp. The 1.5 just doesn't do it. If those numbers were achieved then it was on a very lean tune cause no way is a saft tune going to make those numbers.

People run well into the 9's with a stock block and the correct setup!But if your going to run an old style kb on a 5.0 I cant see the thing making more then 400. I would find an powerdyne, or an A trim before sticking that heat box on.

Well I don't build engines.... and I know people that run 427's 414's and 408 and never once herd of any type of problem other then "what type of block" are you running and "who's internals"; as in: "how far can you push the power". Anything built right isn't going to give any type of clearance...
