unfortunatly I cant answer that as these are off of a customers old engine and I dont know the history. all I can say is the heads are clean and in good working order.

no it doesnt matter, you will just need rockers and pushrods. the heads are stud mount just like the older heads.

they were on a 306, yes they will work on an 83 engine.

the 2 top places that leak on 302's are the back of the intake which is sealed with a cork gasket that never seals until you rtv it, and the valve covers. the pcv valve may also leak but the rear main seal wouldnt be a likely culprit as gravity has a funny way of pulling oil down not up let...

which msd coil are you using and where is it mounted? could your wires be arcing with the msd hooked up? some wires dont handle the extra juice well. all connections are solid to the dist and the coil? any chance of them moving around? the thin red power wire shouldnt be on the batt. it should...

first, where are your power wires connected? what gauge wire was used for all connections? next what coil are you using? where is it located?

please do not atempt this at home. there are reasons shops get paid to do that kind of stuff. do not take a torch to the rod and try to heat them up you will destroy a set of rods. you need either a rod oven or a pin press.

its been a while but I thought this was something that just started happening? was the motor just built? if so its on the builder and its free. motors dont just get out of balance, I really dont know who is doing your work but there is no way to truely determine an out of balance situation...

if you were near me Id take you for a ride in a stang with a weiand setup so you can get an idea of how different it is, its fun and they make good power plus not many people use them so itll be different and just as fast.

for a carb setup it depends, prochargers are good for big power but if you want to be different then go with a weiand setup, they have good tq.
