I don't have enough money for a good set of plates right now lol. But I do plan on putting aftermarket plates in the future...should I go ahead and change the bushings to the prothane ones? or just keep the stock ones?

the sensor itself is not that bad to replace. I think it was less than $10 new. Replace it and see if it fixes it. If it doesn't it is 100% your alternator. it happened with mine too.
