You know what? Your right. It might ne a roller block. The motor came out of a bronco at one point. I've been researching and I heard the trucks used roller blocks but had flat tappet cams. It's starting to make sense now

no, that is not the lifter setup that was originally in the car. there were just flat tappet lifters dropped in. the motor is not original. it was a rebuilt motor by jasper engines. i will post pictures up of the rebuild in a few hours to try and help problem solve. i really appreciate all help...

it is an HO bc i would only start if i used the HO firing order and can i be using the wrong rocker arms?? im using the ones that came with the gt40p's

can my rocker arm bolts be too tight??

not sure, all i know is the cam the was in the car was some type of aftermarket cam, and the lifters were flat at the bottom

SOOO i finally found out why i was smelling gas. one of my hoses connecting to my fuel pressure regulator was leaking and the smell was going right through my firewall having found out im missing a firewall grommet :mad:

I don't know what a charcoal canister is, I doubt its hooked up if I have one, and exhaust runs out the back, no cats.
