TBapp, I have heard the same thing. Sometimes high volume oil pumps can pump so quick at high RPMs that it will literally drain the pan. At idle it would not be a problem it's when you start getting into high RPMs. You can always replace the pan since you're going to have to pull it anyways...

+1 You should not have any problems with the regular bypass valve. I am running 12 pounds with the stock bypass and no surging at all-

Boat isn't in bad shape alex had to make a claim to get a new swim platform but other then that everything is good thankfully!! We are going to get it in the shop this week.

The parking lot is completely under water! All of it! Buildings weren't submerged though. Will post up some pictures from the marina where our boat is (well WAS) docked, down in Catskill - pretty devastating down there!
