  • Unbelievable trip to Vegas, won some pretty decent cash. Oh, and I drove a Ferrari 458 on a pro track :D Ill put a pic up later (that thing was a MONSTER).

Now, I have a question for you wonderful people: If you noticed, I installed the BBK Blackout Intake last week. For some reason, the amount of torque and punch is much more sluggish than when I had the stock intake on the car and gear changes occurred at redline (7,000 RPM). In fact, instead of changing gears at 7,000 RPM, it changes at only 6,300-,6500. I called BAMA, they said data log the car, see what comes up. I want a quicker answer, hoping someone had experience with this
After a wonderful weekend in the hamptons, the car has been wiped down and put under the tarp for the week while I go away to Vegas for a few days. once I get back, Im expecting the new tune setup to be here, upload it to the car and head out to the hamptons AGAIN next weekend.

What a rough life it is. Beyond grateful for a great start to the summer season!
Today was a good day for the car. After failing inspection yesterday, my mechanic and I took a precaution and scanned the system before performing another inspection. Scan came up with errors after switching back to the stock tun, so I ran the car for another 25 miles. After that, the car passed. After that, I installed the new BBK CAI with some assistance from a friend. BAMA has been contacted regarding the upgrade, Ill have an updated one by next week (which is fine because ill be in VEGAS ALL WEEK). Car is once again on 93 octane race tune and what a difference on the sound due to the CAI. Performance has greatly improved also, but as said I'm way more impressed with the throatier, more intimidating noise coming from this machine. Very pleased car owner, pics up in a bit!

Also noticed the amount of notifications on my previous status, thanks for the advice and concern, everyone!
For those who vouched that I did not need to switch my tune before I brought the car for inspection, you all lost your bets placed (if any). Failed emissions test because of absence of o2 monitor systems. Switched the car back to default tune (ugh, depressing) ran it for 30 miles and ill be due to pass inspection tomorrow.
Lesson learned here: SWITCH THE TUNE.
Car is CLEAN...well it already was, but now its 100% finished. Washed, clay barred, sealed, waxed over the weekend. Stayed in the driveway under the tarp during the much needed monsoon. Glad to say little to none of the product washed off the car, so I applied the water-activated H2O Guard, Gloss and Sealant today, along with cleaning the engine bay, dressing the trim and applying the banana scented tire shine . Also, BBK CAI came in yesterday, gonna call BAMA so they can send over an updated tune.
Happy Mothers day!! Car is...well, its not filthy but could use a quick wash. Fishing yesterday was interesting, was near JFK Airport on the boat, quite the experience!! Weather wasn't so friendly as some of you at Newsday Show may have noticed :D

Not exactly sure what next sunday will hold. Saturday ill be out on the boat again pending on weather. Go check out the upcoming events, I just posted SIX, yes, SIX events on friday!!
Well I had the time to do some research today: found all of the popular shows that NYM likes to hit every year :D not to mention some new ones included in there.

I have fixed our NYM Cruise to Montauk date to September 20th. This avoids holidays, car show dates, bad summer traffic and HOPEFULLY rain.

    GO CHECK THE UPCOMING EVENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am OUT for tomorrows Newsday show....Does anyone have the dates for smithtown/ lucas Ford car shows? If so, please either post them or let me know when the info comes out. Thanks guys!!!
Thanks to everyone who had attended AHRC today. Numbers weren't up to par with last year but nonetheless was a great show as always. Good to see our usual members out there and I was glad to see that two new guys had come to the show. Ernesto and Burt/ Bert (sorry not sure which way thats supposed to be spelled), I'm hoping you guys enjoyed the show as well!! Im a 50/50 for newsboys show on saturday, will keep everyone posted!
AHRC TOMORROW!!! Hoping to see everyone in the LI/ NYC region come out for the event! Car is currently under the covers, has been washed, clay barred and sealed. New Adams product "H2O Sealant" (water activated sealant that also works as a gloss) to be applied tomorrow. This paint is gonna SHINE...
Captree yesterday was a great time! A lot of different events going on but it was good to see everyone enjoying the nice day. Meanwhile, just installed shelves in the garage for meaningless crap to be stored there so another thing has been knocked out, will hopefully be 100% complete and finished by the end of the week.

SPEAKING of the end of the week, AHRC IS THIS SUNDAY. Yes. That is right. Go check the upcoming events!!!
