To Unrealford.....Thanks for the bump. I liked yours too! You won an award, right? As far as awards went, wasn't that weird that they gave the door prizes at the end to the cars that already won an award? I took a few pics of the group of yellow stangs both at the show and in the "waiting line" for the parade. Would like a yellow one someday.....

Had a really great time! So nice to meet everyone! Congrats to all the award winners! 
..I thought for sure best female owner had my name on it..Oh well, I guess I'm more GO than SHOW and I'll always be that way because I DRIVE my car!

Folks remember this is only the second year for the show, it takes some time to get all the kinks out. Actually the show went well, Nice spot and nice cars.
Not to sure why a few had a need to do burnouts on in the parade. I can't think of to many things that are more dangerous in such close quarters with little kids around. Not only do you scare the heck out of the kids , throw road stones on the crowd and that nice mustang behind you it is just plain dumb and makes the group look bad. I saw one mom take the matter in her own hands and give one driver the angry mom lashing!
Other than that the day was good, met lots of new friends......I'm sure the committee would welcome constructive suggestions.

I just got home from the show I was very diappointed in the show, I paid $20.00 to preregister and had to park in the spectator lot. after they had 10 cars in the spectater lot, Than they put 7 cars in the field it was like 3 different shows. the hour wait for the parade in the street well never mind. I've been attending shows since 1990 and the host club or committee are not eligable for trophies, but here the guy that put on the show and made the trophies got one. Dawn had the best female owned but she's not a local so she couldn't win. Door prizes are for people who didn't win anything. Mabee car shows aren't their thing.

Thanks! Begin rant..I think I could have won because Saleenmustang's Dad from Long Island won. But I was kinda wondering if the Female Award wasn't based on location/friendship. The woman told me she lived right up the street. Normally, I really don't care if I win and wouldn't say anything but for some reason this really got to me. There were only a few female owners to begin with (as far as I know) and really no offense to the winner but the amount of modding put into my car and its uniqueness I think says something. She keeps the car in a barn and told me it only had 800 miles. Well mine has 27000 and is not going to look perfect if thats what it was based on. People were standing around my car checking it out all day. I got tons of compliments at the show and during the parade. I rode side by side with her during the parade and didn't hear anyone say..wow! nice white car..they were all saying 'wow, look at that GREEN car'. I also drove 2 1/2 hours to the show, had to wash all the bugs off Friday night, again wash all the dew off Saturday morning to get it looking just right. And this is why I felt very slighted. Sorry for the rant but if you want people to come from far away to this event, don't give so many trophies to locals/friends. And I agree, in our club we aren't allowed to vote but are eligible for awards. I don't think this is fair. End rant..

Thanks to everyone who attended the event... We are still building the show.. We could use the help if anyone is interested for next year.. The Rally raised over 1700 for Habitat.. The parade had an hour wait, it was the first year we did it like that.. I had over 500 dollars invested in plaques and another 200 invested in shirts I gave away... The decision for best female owned was based on the car being orignal.. Dawn your car was deserving for sure... Was the show perfect no... This was a charity event! It can be difficult to keep everyone happy! The show had a great turn out for its second year.. Time was an issue for the judges,as was the parade.. Never before has 70 cars come threw town in the parade like that... If you know how we can improve the show please let us know!

I had a wanna be cop walk up to my window and he said " you'll have a ticket waiting for you at the awards ceremony" but I never heard anything so...the town cop was right behind me too and nothing happend.
we may need to reign in the huge burnouts for next year though.. the tire sqeeks and revs were cool but alot of little kids there too with nervous parents.
