yeah, but i just looked into a whipple, its costing 3,800. then installation at MM for a similar s/c cost 800 with our NYM discount. then u need a tune, 600. so thats about 5,200 just for a s/c setup that adds 85rwhp (whipple blower)

Kit includes polished supercharger, supercharger inlet, manifold adapter plate and hardware kit. Does not require PCM, fuel pump or MAF meter upgrades. Simple bolt on increase at the rear wheels of 85 horsepower and 50 ft./lbs. of torque. NOTE: Installation of this kit will void your new vehicle engine warranty.

ok, im going to start gathering some info comparing prices of adding 75-100rwhp. going n/a (no heads) versus s/c. any1 feel free to chime in. im talking about details, getting prices and average hp increase of each item.
p.s.. yes i do know ur not supposed to add hp of each item. its more of how they work together. just goin for a rough estimate

theres a LOT of eaton-forced daily drivers out there in everything from FWD V6's to lightnings that are DD'd.

or my friend nathan has his Vortech kit- V2 blower kit, MAF, inj, tune, Xcal. all you need is an SVT Focus pump. he's asking 3k for it

I believe its because most positive displacement have nearly instantaneous low end boost, against say a centrifugal which slowly builds up boost with engine RPM. A centrifugal would probably be better for a daily driver, stay out of high RPM and you will barely notice it, but when you want the power, go into your power band and feel the super charger spin. With a centrifugal you would probably have stock-like MPG as long as you stay out of the boost range.
