I am looking to complete my exhaust setup and I just need to pick up an X pipe preferably but am not sure what I need to pass inspection. Do they know to look for four catalytic converters or can I get away with a dual cat setup? Thanks for any advice...
If your worried about it. Get 1 that has 2 high flow cats. I was told even though it's only a Safety inspection now for our older cars. Some places still check to make sure you have all the Emission stuff.
I run a magnaflow o/r x and passed inspection with my rear o2s disconnected and dangling.. you need to get a tune to turn off the rear o2s and work with the fronts.. then just find a shop that doesnt really care lol you put them on after inspection type thing
Older OBD 1 cars do not have rear o2 sensors. I never had issues but it is up to the shop inspecting it. I just run offroad and always keep my emissions stuff in case.
Its all about who you know. I dont have cats, smog pump, egr, etc and it still passes inspections, even though the inspection ran out last October it would still pass if I actually took the car out of storage this year.
