The Five Star Safety Rating was given to the 2010 Ford Mustang GT for various safety features found on the car and here is one example of how three 19-year-olds tested out the rating first hand. The story goes three 19-year-olds were given the keys to a 2010 Mustang GT to test drive. Sometime during the test drive the driver crashed the brand new Mustang GT with one of the occupants being ejected from the car. All three teens were not wearing their seat belts and somehow managed to survive the crash with minor bumps and bruises. What's more amazing is how badly damaged the new Mustang GT is in the photos and all three teens walked away from the crash. Most of the damage to the Mustang is concentrated toward the front end of the car and the cab is still pretty much intact. This is definitely evidence the new Mustang and it's Five Star Safety Rating are well deserved.
