I would get custom cams done if it was me because a positive displacement supercharger requires a totally different cam than a NA motor or even a centrifugal sc.
A Kenne Bell with higher boost on a built bottom end will EASILY make 500rwhp....have fun!!!
FYI, here's an old sticky post on forced induction. Definitely depends on what your goals are for. For a street car with a manual, I would agree, nothing like the instant boost, low end torque of a positive displacement supercharger like a KB, whipple, etc.
When you say the best do you mean who makes the most power for the least amount of money. You also need to determine what are the goals for the car street/track/some track/race car.
