who has swapped efi to carb and are you happy you did?

motor wise... go buy a dart long block from proline racing and your done.

If you can get your car tuned you may not need it. I just tuned a 90 GT with a 310 cu. in. motor h/c/i and with the 24lbers and the PMAS meter it was 16:1 a/f at idle and PT and in the mid 13's at WOT. Now it is 14.6-15.0 at idle and cruise and 12.8:1 at wot. Contrary to believe the calibrated MAF and injector combo doesn't always work out. I of course also changed delay for the o2 sensors since it had long tubes, adjusted idle, dashpot settings, etc.

killer5.0, maybe you should contact mustang magic for some tuning help. if you are in deleware county it's not to far of a drive for you to take them your car to have it dyno tuned. i wouldn't suggest buying a wideband to you until you lean a little more about engine tuning

well they are 3.5hrs away...everything is just so far away....its mostly the fact that i dont have the time to drive that far b/c im so busy with work etc...

mine was carburated,i am doin the swap now back to efi,,and ill start off by saying this is alot more expensive,but i couldnt stand the carb,no response,starting problems,it was a pain for me every step of the way, im sure if someone had tuned the carb properly it would have ran fine,could have just been my experience .my 86 never had any running issuse,and thats what im swappin in,,for me the reliability is worth it alone,and i use a really good tuner,,if u just want simplicity and good looks,cheap, stick with the carb and someone who knows how to tune it would probly be best,,,but if u want best results go efi

hard to say, depends on how much time/work/parts need to be spent/done/changed.

mustang magic has a special forum on there, post up your issue there and they will get back to you, or just call them

there is also sansone ford on here, they might be able to help you
