What Mods for Emissions?

Guys have an '11 GT. Being in Rochester NY we must pass emission testing. What mods can be done and still pass emissions? Can you do exhaust work other than just a axle back?

Yes you can, YOu could do full exhaust and have know probs, you will just need a mid pipe that has high flow cats! Besides that I think your good to MOD!!!

wait they don't just hook it up to the computer? they literally hook the tube to the exhaust?

If they just plug it into the data port under the dash, as long as your CEL is off you can go catless.

Since your brand new you wont need to worry about emissions for one full year .....but after that you can easily do exhaust, tune, cai....just tell the tuner you need to pass emissions and you shouldnt have any problems passing because they will set your tune up properly.

If you do go with the emissions tune, make sure you drive the car for a bit before going in.

You can do all sorts of mods. Cai, exhaust, S/C, Full suspension, As long as the tuner knows what he is doing, you will be fine.

they will not hook the car up to the machines till 2 yrs after you take delivery. so for that time you don't need to be concerned. if you go to a shop that does a visual inspection then you'll need your cats. if you go catless you have to deal with the rear O2s being off and getting around that
