OK folks here is my take on car shows and cruise nights. I am the co-chairman of 2 cruise nights in the Buffalo area and run the cruise in the 4th of July Parade for the Town of Cheektowaga. I do not care what shows up at the cruise nights. I just want someone who cares about their car and like to show it. 4,6 or 8 cylinder, Don't matter. Come out, have a good time and support the people putting it on. We go for numbers at our cruises. The major question is how many cars did you have at the show and not what were they. Our shows are not judged, this way 2 weeks later your not hearing that my car was better than the winners. Just ask me, I've been there. We give out door prizes. This way everyone has a chance to win. We had 110 cars at the one show and 280 at the other. It is a party atmosphere at both and that is the way we like it. One of our co-chairmen got involved in a judged show and he said never again.
I am not saying you should bring your daily driver, but if you have a nice clean detailed car that you are really proud of, bring it. Mustangs are always welcome at my cruises.
Also I run weekly cruises to various car shows and cruise nights. We will have anywhere from 5 to 30 ponies. The cruise night promoters eyes light up when we show up to the cruises. We have preferred parking at some of the cruises when I call ahead. The cruising season is approaching, Have a good time with your pony.
