Tune or no Tune

alright so the gears just came in today and i just installed the CAI also getting a MAC exhaust sent from American Muscle early January so heres the big question.
do i need a tune or no and how will i benefit? Will i see any huge differences or am i better off just getting an sct tuner for the price

After exhaust and a CAI I'd definitely recommend a tune. It will take advantage of the increased airflow and you'll be much happier with the outcome!

ik this is a dumb question but what big gains will i see i mean the 4.10 gears im hoping makes a big difference alone plus the new CAI and the dual exhaust im hoping for a big increase or atleast enough to push me back in the seat a little bit

4.10 gears will get you off the line quicker. Motor will rev higher while cruising. Use your overdrive. Also look into an aluminum drive shaft. They are lighter and take some load off the drive train.

I know at least with my V6 I have the 2.73's stock and my 0-60 is around 5.8. If I were to bump that up to 3.31 gears I would be at about 5.2 secs for 0-60 time so it shaves off quite a bit. If yours is a daily driver I might suggest considering the 3.73's as I've heard some people complain about the 4.10's for daily driving.

The gears will be the biggest difference in terms of the push back in the seat feel and the exhaust, CAI, and tune will only increase that. I'd say if you do anything, start with 3.73 gears (4.10 if you must) and see how that feels before proceeding with anything else.

thats why i got a set of 3.90 gears. yea i thinku shuld get a tune

With the 4.10's you will notice a big difference. After the CAI and the cat back I would get a tune.With the tune, CAI and Cat Back you could see 25-35 RWHP I would think.
