I just got a quote from Mustang Magic to have Tokico shocks and struts installed for 679.00. They have the kit alone for 499.00. I have seen the same kit for 399.00 from another vendor on the Island but if you have someone install it, will cost between 200 and 300 hundred anyway. Of course if you can do it yourself that's great. I just don't know much about the Tokico springs? Are they Progressive or Linear? I would like to know the Spring rating on them as well. I have a feeling they are like the Ford B or C. I called Tokico and they would not give me much info.

This is not a pissing match why would someone cut coils and then something goes wrong, Prokits come with a life time warranty against failure

I dont know you from a hole in a wall so you can not determine what i do know and don't know, so be careful how you talk to people if i wanted to call you a lair i would have said it in a private message, she asked which is best to do buying them professionally done and with a warranty is the best way to go.

Ah that is right....I must have made that up. :thumbsdown:

Also that little blurb you copied out of that website would suggest that the ride would be harsh on a stock suspension with even a aftermarket spring, yet thousands of Mustang owners run Eibach Pro kits and similar setups on the stock suspension. If you cut a stock spring it will become stiffer(just like an aftermarket spring).

What is going to go wrong on a moderately cut spring? I implore you to tell me? Suspension bind or stacking? Only if the spring was cut damn near in half.

The option may not be what she wants at all but to call it non viable because of one sentence that doesn't even refer to the cutting of a stock spring is ludicrous.

I would assume you are against running Fox 4cyl front springs and Fox 90/10s on a SN95 or New Edge car too then?

He has an issue, the proper way to confront someone is to say it in a private message but he seems not to understand thatand is being petty about it, and i never said it wasn't a possible solution to what she wants but its not a road she is going to take if you learned more about the driver who is asking the question you would know what would work for her.


You just want to to argue on a forum for no purpose, the topic of her car is whats on the table, not anything else.

i hope you can understand that and stop your pissing contest.:nono:

i would never cuts springs.......its a waiste of time and money....
spend the money on a good set of springs....

It's pretty cool, though, people around here are starting to know my car. A guy came in to work the other day, and I auto-started my car, and he goes "You're GT Status??" lol I was happy.
