Tires rub

Do you have a gt? If you do, are the moldings on tight, or are they loose? My tires rub and my moldings aren't on like they should be. A few screws are missing and there's dirt lodged inside them. I need to take them off and put them on right so nothing rubs.

The shocks are older tokico's. That may be the prob. None of the mouldings are loose. I think the tire are rubbing on the inner shield. I measured the height and its 26 inches from ground to the bottom of the fender lip. The shocks are not blown out or anything.

Rubbing was actually the inner lip on the wheels and the wheel weights rubbing on the back side of the control arms. I just ground down the control arms a little bit to stop the rub. I don't know why they were rubbing tho.

humm thats with the (225-60-15)'s ....

might need new shocks and wheel spacers....just saying...

I had FRPP C springs with 17" wheels (245's up front & 275's out back) with No problems...Might be the springs...aren't the B's really progressive? ....Maybe try a 1/4" wheel spacer up front! Pics would help....

Like Tim said, try a wheel spacer or maybe a steering limiter.

Damn Tim, I don't know if I would've had the heart to get rid of that Fox, that thing is beautiful!!!!!! :headbang:

I know...I know!!!! THANKS!!! ...I bought the car new from Metro Ford (off the showroom floor in 1991) owned the car for 17 years...Sold it 3 years ago for more then what I paid for it!!

Car had 625 hp at one point and ran a best of 10.51 @ 132.35...saw 9 rainy days and had 23k miles when I sold :( IT!! ....Car is now in Charlotte, NC! :headbang: ...I do miss the car from time to time!

(PS: I had no reason to sell it...I guess I feel more in :luv: with the Cobra at the time...and Kimberly!!!)

No! .... LOL ... Weld 15" Drag-Lites & MT 26x10 slicks, 1.50 60' times, Vortech T-trim (19 psi)! ...Car would have been a 10.2 with a C4 (or along those lines) as a ran a Tremec 3550 HD T-5 tranny! :rock:

...I did run a 11.65 @ 119.6 with the 17" wheels & a 6# Powerdyne on the car just before I Sold :( it!! ...With the Lowering Package...:evil: ...1.65 60' time with the Nitto 275 DR's!!!!! <<<Not Bad!!!:headbang:
