Ah size.

Tread width in millimeters / Sidewall height as a percentage of tread width / Rim diameter.

245 mm wide with a side wall of 110.25 mm (245 x 0.45)

235 mm wide with a side wall of 129.25mm (235 x 0.55)

so they would be a little narrower and will fill up the gap more? i found them really cheap and i need to replace my existing ones...at least for now until i can get better tires

Yes, however although tire sizing is "universal", there is some variation between manufactures and if they are mounted on different width rims.

they are pirellis coming off a 2009 ford mustang gt rim...which is like 8 in wide i believe

Here you go. I use this if I really need a visual. You may have to install a later version of flash to view it but it is safe. It will show you a comparison and if there will be any difference in rotational speed.
