Tips on storing your Mustang

1. Fill Gas Tank &
2. Add Gas Stabilizer-to prevent moisture in gas tank.
3. Purchase Trickle Charger-to keep your battery charged, one that keeps the battery charged automatically.
4. Inflate Tires Ten Pounds Over Normal Inflation-to prevent flat spots.
5. Put moth balls around the outside perimeter of the car, if in a garage to prevent mice from messing with car.
6. Car Cover
7. After the winter is over, wait for the first rain fall to wash the streets and sidewalks of salt before putting the car back on the road.
8. When you first use the brakes, they will squeak until the slight rust on the rotors is worn off, about 10 minutes of brake use.

Do you guys have any other things that need to be done during 4-5 month storage period?

My uncle recommended, and I just started using last year.. dryer sheets. WAYY better than moth ball smell..

I will try dryer sheets, sounds like a great idea. Thanks a millions. Moth balls sure do have a strong smell. Any other things that should be done?

no problem! I think you've got it, I always fill mine up, I used the Lucas brand fuel stabilizer last year and it fired right up in Feb or march when I finally ran it.

I disconnect my battery and take it in the house, then run it on the maintainer a couple times over winter

Yes you should put a good plastic drop cloth or tarp under the car to prevent moisture from coming up
Also I put rags in the exhausts to prevent mice from getting in
I put a box of baking soda and a large air freshener in the car and I wrap the windshield wipers with Saran Wrap to prevent them from sticking to the windshield
Lately I do an oil and filter change before storage plus what you also do
