That's definitely dark enough, anything more would lose contrast. I say you did it right and keep it that way.

Jenzpony: Its pretty easy to do, the VHT is $12 a can and the clear coat is roughly the same and it only took me about an hour!

You might want to hit them up with some compound then polish since they look a little dull. Compound and polish will get them nice and shiny!

Like a little rubbing combound? and what should I polish then with? I was going to try to wet sand them but this seems like it may be less work

Wet sanding may take off too much color if you're not careful. I would use rubbing compound by hand so you can control the finish. After the compound, if you really wanna do it right, go with a glaze or swirl remover, then a polish or wax. Basically treat it like paint.
