T4 Turbo Question

anybody know something about this turbo? someone wants to trade it to me for something, idk anything about it, would love to know if i can get some good gains with it(hes offering me just the blower btw)

there are a lot of t-4 turbos. what brand is it? what size etc..

t4 refers to the size of the inlet of the turbine housing. T4 turbos can support from ~400 all the way ~1000 hp or more, it depends on a lot of variables. As mentioned above what brands, and size if the turbo? Try to, at least, get the model number (usually located in a tag on the compressor or exhaust housing or on the CHRA

yeah the guy on my other mustang forum sent me a pm saying he would trade me a t4 turbo, i asked him like which one n stuff so ill let you know

this is what he said:a t4 turbo is the flange size its a huge exhaust manifold the compressor is only an a/r 42 but im told it can ut out about 40 pounds of boost

I think you should pass on this one. That turbo (though I don't know exactly which one it is, just assuming by the .42 compressor a/r) is way too small for a mustang.
It may produce 40lbs of boost, but not efficiently in a mustang, maybe in a smaller motor like a 1.5 or 1.8 liter engine it would be fine, but not a 4.6 or even 3.8 liter engine
