Subframe Connectors

I bout these connectors and I am wondering where the two square shaped brackets are welded to. I haven't gotten the car up in the air to get the welding started. Also does that weld through primer really work, is it recomended? I'm also maybe thinking of powder coating them but you have to gind off a lot of the coating. I know that the're connectors that come coated. Has anyone used them? Any help would be great. Pics of the type that I have installed would be even better. Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken the square brackets get welded to the torque boxes. You need to keep the area you are welding clean of paint. You also need to have your car on level ground. If you have access to a lift that's the way to go. If not use ramps, but only on level ground. If you install them while it's on a jack or stands you may risk having your chassis twisted. During launches you will feel the car pull if they are not installed correctly. Paint them after install, mask everything under the car and use a good heat resistant primer and paint..

Thanks for your help. I know that it has to be on level ground with the weight on the wheels. I thought that the plates were for the torque boxes. Do you have connectors installed? I would like to see some pics if you do. Thanks.

Thanks my friend that was the just about all the info I needed. I can figure out the box plates once I have the car off the ground.
