Skipping

My Mustang started to skip the other day while driving it, I figure I would start with the plugs and go from there. I read up online of someone with the same problem, they changed their plugs but it didn' fix the problem. Any suggestions before I pull the plugs? The car is a 99 GT with 53,000 miles.

Check the coil on plugs. Does it do it while idling too? If so pull them one at a time and see if it changes the audible tone of the engine. If it does then you might have a bad COP. Those are far more likely to be the culprit than the actual plug.

Also make sure the IAC is clean.

I just changed the plugs, it does not skip while driving anymore, but at idle I cant tell if it is skipping once in awhile or if it is just the mufflers with low back pressure. I checked the resistance of the coils and they were ok.
