since i removed my smog stuff should i do an egr delete?

what are the pros and cons...i still have my charcoal canister hooked up but the smog pump, lines etc are off and vac lines are plugged. if i dont need it i might as well reduced the underhood clutter. but dont want to if it will cause any negative effect....thanks :D

Mine is deleted and I dont have any issues. I used an EGR eliminator plug in thing (search ebay for one) and an EGR block off plate.
The only reason I deleted it is my heads dont have EGR ports. I had the EGR hooked up previously before the new motor and heads with the smog stuff long gone and didnt have any issues.

If you delete your eve you run the risk of idle issues.. the car can surge at idle.. make sure you plug everything good and you have zero leaks

eve? i already have all the smog off so i figured might as well clean it up some more if it wont have adverse effects...i was going to use a egr delete spacer and the plug in thing so it doesn't throw codes....do you remove and plug the coolant lines off the egr spacer? i read that somewhere...just trying to get all my plans in order for spring. and can you eliminate the charcoal canister or no? thanks

My coolant lines were removed long before the EGR. I actually forgot how they were plugged but I know theyre not on it anymore.

i would think its to keep the throttle blade from iceing in the winter but if your like me the mustang doesnt come out much in the winter...i would really like to know more!! why would no egr make you surge at idle? would takeing the egr off make you run hotter beacuse your not cooling the combustion chamber?
